Youth Theatre Group was established thanks to the work of the Children's Theatre Groups, which have been creating spontaneous and highly improvised theatre plays based on their own ideas for several years. Their theatre workshops take place regularly, under the guidance of CHOREA Theatre artists and invited guests. We introduce a lot of shared fun and a bit of stage discipline, as well as work on group integration and team energy. The main idea is to give children the opportunity for creative expression, with as little adult interference as possible.
The aim of the Youth Theatre Groups is to unleash the creative potential that lies dormant in every young person, to introduce creative group work and some aspects of CHOREA Theatre training, to integrate, to develop a sense of familiarity with one's own body, and to promote work as a partner and a team. The work is based primarily on the children's creativity, which is the starting point for creating a theatre. An important aspect is the development of cooperation skills and building mutual respect. Theatre activities for youth include body work, music workshops, set design and art workshops, but above all, work with children's imagination.
The Youth Theatre Group has been working since January 2025. The group consists of participants who previously belonged to Children's Theatre Groups - the Older and the Oldest - working since 2017. Group participants worked with many artists (Łukasz Batko, Hanna Matusiak, Michał Jóźwik, Michał Surosz, Marta Góźdź, Paweł Głowaty, Jola Królicka, Filip Appel, Paweł Korbus, Dominika Krzyżanowska, Patryk Zakrocki, Dorota Porowska, Katarzyna Żuk, Przemysław Buksiński, Mateusz Pakuła, Grzegorz Fajngold, Anna Raczkowska, Janusz Szymański), created few theatre performances ("Theatre Jokes" in 2018, "The City" in 2019, "The Good Humour Shop" in 2021, "From Time to Time" in 2022 , “Animal Machines” in 2023, “I’ll eat Your Jam” in 2023) and the exhibition ("Memory" in 2020). The performance "The Good Humour Shop" received the "Trends 2022" Award for an unconventional and effective approach to the creative process, during the 43rd National Festival of Youth Theatre - Dziatwa 2022.
