First neTTheatre in Poland!!!

We initiate the most innovative theatre and media project in Poland. Relating to the tradition of Television Theatre (remembering its best time, when audiences counted in many millions, and performances were transmitted live) we create the first of its kind in Europe - neTTheatre. Our idea is that performances will be transmitted in real time, and internauts will even have a chance to influence their shape.

The neTTheatre will be situated in Srebrna Góra (Silver Mountain), a picturesque town in Kotlina Kłodzka, (southwest of Poland) in the best equipped with internet access region of Poland (100 Mbs (!) connection at the private receivers’). The precise site is the former protestant church with a tower - the highest building in the area, located in the very centre of the town. In its after-war history the building used to serve less noble purposes. Until recently it functioned, as a, (in)famous in the neighborhood, pub “Angel” having offered, among other things, ‘rooms for rent by the hour’. Recently, local government has finalized the renovation of the space for Theatre Association Chorea. Thanks to the application of unique, innovative construction solutions (removal of the pillars holding the ceiling, increasing the depth of the space, installation of the professional dance floor on the whole surface of the church) one of the most beautiful theatre venues in Poland has been created. The accomplishment of the project neTTheatre is made easier by the fact, that on the church tower the local server is placed and the antenna providing broadband connection. Also the name of the town is significant (Silver Mountain) as well as a fair proximity and good connection with the city of Wrocław.

The neTTheatre has a chance to become a groundbreaking event in the world of new media and an invaluable polygon for testing complex hard and software solutions for performing artists.
